Another Nail
When this blog first started, I was hoping to write about East TN small towns and the way I was raised and cherish that lifestyle. But, since I was raised that way I can’t help but ask “Americans, do you see what is going on?” I have always voted with my heart, and my “hot” button is always, ABORTION. I to to church with good people. And so many think there is nothing wrong with abortion. Here’s what I can not understand. 1. A baby is concieved. The baby didn’t choose to descend on you and pick your womb to move into. 2. It’s not convenient, it’s not wanted, you’ll get in trouble and the list could go on. And I always hear “It’s My Body”. Actually, even our bodies belong to God. We should honor and respect that and respect Him. If you gave birth and then pulled a knife and murdered that innocent child, it’s murder. But kill it still inside the body and it’s “pro choce”. I think when we meet St. Peter at the pearly gates, he’s going to look at our complete life, of which mine will be full of sins, and send us to the appropriate place. I think murdering a baby whether it’s in or out of your womb will be the same offense to Jesus. I didn’t want Bill Clinton to be president. Okay, he was a sex hound, but monetarily, he didn’t really do a good job. I think he also believed in God even if he wasn’t a devout Christian. On the other hand, Jimmy Carter was a devout Christian but a weak leader and was in over his head. He was soundly defeated and was a one termer! Here is some info about Barack Obama. His father was a very radical muslim. Remember, the Koran tells the islams to kill all the infidels. What is an infidel? Anybody who isn’t a muslim. Scary isn’t it? His white mother was a devout atheist. Even IF her was born in the US (which I doubt) he grew up mostly out of the country in Indonesia and Kenya. In his book “Audicity of Hope” he says he has no faith in white people and prefers blacks. He also states that if there was trouble in the US, he would stand with the muslims. He claims to have gone to high school and Ivy League colleges, but so far, no person has come forward and said he went to school or taught him in school. I could point out a couple hundred people who were classmates of mine and would admit to it and also many teachers. What would have to happen for Americans to see what he’s done. Gas has done up 90%! Unemployment has increased 40%. He is allowing NO oil drilling except for a small area in the gulf of Mexico. If he’d approved the Keystone pipeline, it would have created over 100,000 jobs and cut back on our dependence on foreign but he wants a “green fuel”. I want a candy bar that is healthy, has no calories and cause me to lose weight, but I have to live in the real world. And now he’s trying to tell us how to worship and what we can’t do? Women will be forced to have birth control which could mandate an abortion pill. Heil Obama. We are already so deep in debt our kids and their kids will never dig their way out. He was barely in the white house before he rammed the “stimulus package” down our throats. Another promise broken. He’d originally said he would put all programs on the internet for a week so they could be studied for a week, but this program was barely out before we had to vote on it. $8B was set up for baby murder via Acorn Foundation which was run by a socialist.He also allotted $10M to study shrimp running on a treadmill!! Is the whole country going completely crazy. He won’t cover his heart for the Pledge of Allegiance, and said we should change the national anthem to “I’d Like to Teach the World to Sing”. He is just a puppet of George Soros who was a Nazi collaborator and also an avowed atheist. Please Americans, if you love this country or God or your children. Vote for anybody who is not Obama. This country will never be the same if he gets into a second term. God Bless America!!
Wall Street Protestors
It’s disgusting, atheistic, and sickening to watch the actions you take. This is America. If I lived in Miami and wanted to snow ski, instead of trying to import snow and install huge air conditioners, I’d use a little common sense and move to Alaska. You seem to hate the rich people of this country. There is a rich person who is making money to fund you and to cater your meals so you can make a constant public display of your stupidity. Many men and women fought and died to help preserve our freedom to allow you the political freedom to use our sidewalks as toilets and do anything to destroy the moral fabric of the country. It’s hard to even listen to the stories of the survivors of the Bataan death march talk about their own private hell they had to endure. And this was done so you’d have the freedom to speak (and protest) freely. I’ve also seen the footage of the Communist Party USA speaking to you and they also cater your meals since there’s no other way for you to survive on your own. Your drug use, defacation, rapes, and unholy acts are disgusting. If you think that the USA is such a bad place leave. The old saying “If you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen” certainly applies here. If you really hate rich people, then get rid of your cell phones, tablets, iPads, and computers. After all, someone who is rich established the companies that made all the devices and supplies the network to keep them up and running. Most people in the middle class are employed by people who are in the upper class. However, if you really want the kind of government that you seem to seek, I’ll invite you to renounce your US citizenship and move to the country that already has that government set up.I dare you to move to China, Myanmar (Burma), Cuba, or North Korea. In those countries, there is no upper class. That is, except for the leaders of the communist party. The leaders in the USSR lived like kings while the citizens lived in squallor. And I’d dare you to try to go to the capital city and pull the stunts your able to do now. If that interests you, we as a country of Christian and liberty loving citizens would try to start a fund for a one way trip. So if you like the ability to stand up and publicly make a fool of yourself, remember a veteran made it possible!
Obamacare
My healthcare is from a well known company and we’ve had it for years. For the last month or so I’ve had shooting pains in my right shoulder and arm. I finally sent to my doctor and they did an EKG. My heart was fine. Since my dad died at age 55 of a heart attack I was relieved. Then the doctor said I should have an MRI and would set it up and let me know. The next day I was informed that it would be Friday morning at 8:00 (tomorrow). Then I got a call today at 4:00 saying it wasn’t approved by the insurance company. This is a sample of Obamacure. With so much government intervention, the costs are getting so bad, you have to prove you don’t need insurance before you can git it. Here’s how it works: If I was a girl on welfare and got pregnant in the back seat of a car, the government will gladly pick up that expense. In fact, Obama alloted $8 billion from the “stimulus package” to go to the Acorn company, which is just baby-killing-for-hire. I am a HUGE anti-abortion guy. Having a baby ripped in two pieces is acceptable, but trying to prevent a stroke or to keep me out of pain and stopping it from getting worse? NO! I think the socialists are coming quicker than we originally expected. Obama has convinced the 20 – 35 years old the the rich fat cats are ripping everybody off and keeping all the money and jetsetting all day. When Donald Trump or Bill Gates ‘jetset” they are flying in the planes they boughy due to their ability to earn money and the need to set their own schedule. When Obama does his “jetsetting” you and I pay for it. Bush was blasted for taking vacations while we were fighting in Afghanistan. Now we have a war on 3 fronts and Obama is on vacation more than he’s in the White House. America, we need to once again be “One Nation Under God” with our minds, hearts and spirit. If there is an improvement in any area of the government, tell me where. GOD BLESS AMERICA!!
Parents
In East TN of the late 50′s there were few people who didn’t have two parents. And those were due to one of the parents had passed on. And there were no “shack ups”. Having a baby unmarried was just not the right thing to do. And I’m the first to admit it takes two to tango. Statistics show that 77% of the population in prison are from a one parent home. I’d like to think I’m a faitly good parent, but I’m just half of a good team. I was pretty good at discipline, education, and entertainment. My wife was great with diapers, meals, moral support and organization. We were a great twosome. Most people, when you say discipline, think automatically mean spankings. I’m against them. It makes no sense to me that no person (legally) can hit another person, If you do something wrong and break a rule, your boss can’t make you go get a switch off a tree and beat them with it. You can’t hit your spouse, nieghbor, dad, mom,etc. You are, however allowed to smack your kid who has NO defense. And it seems that most spankings occur as a pressure valve. The parents are just pushed too far, the blow up and release their wrath by smacking their children. But to really make a difference and send your children in the right direction takes work, and both parents must want the same thing as parents. You’ve seen the cartoons of people pushing in two directions on a car stuck in the mud, the caption reads “Progress means pushing in the same direction.” My wife quit working when my son was born and we cut back to afford it. We lived in a mobile home and she cleaned houses. These were friends we went to church with and she took our son with her. Daycare can make sure your children are fed, cleaned, changed and those kind of basics. But when the questions come about who God is, where is heaven, how did you and my daddy meet? It’s YOUR answers that form a child into the kind of person they will be. Even though there were rough roads, both my kids are Christians who have only known their spouses, never tried drugs, and never tasted alcohol. It really infuriates me when parents say “all you can do is the best you can and hope they turn out all right”. If you waled into a car dealer and bought a new Fusion, and the dealer said “We built it as good as we could so I just hope it runs okay”. Nobody would but that car and rightly so. It’s easy to have kids, but do you have the right stuff to be a parent?
At Christmas
Hello and welcome to the site. Any thoughts will be read and put in the proper category. This blog is a personal opinion only and are just the thts of a small town guy raised in a Christian home. And I am so blessed for that. Last Christmas was a blur. My mom was in a nursing home and her health had been going up and down for about 3 years but she always bounced back. But on November 21, 2010 the last bounce happened. I was still in shock and Christmas sort of sneaked by. My son and his wife went to her parents for Christmas so things were so different that it didn’t hit me how much of a change was going on. Both my parents were such a blessing from God. Now on to the blog.
I was raised on Christian values and had certain rules that I knew I had to follow. All of us did. In my small town everybody knew everybody else. There were no secrets. Any adult who told us to do something was an adult that had to be obeyed, and everyone was truly concerned for our well being. We sat down to supper together and talked. There was one phone in the house and most houses had a litte inset for the phone that held the phone book. We watched only 2 channels on TV and there was always a good show on, with no bad morals, and absolutely no profanity.
My posts will be pertaining to this and a Christian way of life. A wholesome slice of life when a newsman on TV actually read a news report and didn’t put in a political spin. There was no ACLU and you could leave your door unlocked. 99% of the people I knew went to church and 99% of them didn’t drink alcohol. A law enforcement person coming through our town was a rare thing, as it was usually a drive-thru to assure that everything was still like it used to be.
We need that kind of life again.
